Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, June 12, 2010, Floye Poteet Alligood, 100, of Augusta, GA.
Ms. Alligood was a native of Augusta and lived in the Augusta area most of her life. She was retired from the Augusta Arsenal and the Fort Gordon Signal School. Ms. Alligood was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Family members include son: Robert N. King and wife Faye of Augusta, GA, grandsons: Robert N. King II and wife Marliese of Charleston, SC, Merl C. Hoover, Jr. and wife Constance of Beech Island, SC, granddaughter: Kimberly K. Clement of Augusta, GA, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson: Ronald W. King.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
