Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Thursday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Maryellen graduated from the former Boston Teachers College with a BS in Education. She earned two Masters in Education from the same college. Maryellen taught for 4 years in the Boston School System followed by 4 years in Arlington, VA. Upon returning to Massachusetts she taught for 26 years in the Brookline School System. Teaching the second grade was the joy of her life. She loved the little ones. She never asked for much and never complained in spite of her ailments.
