Joan (Giovanna) Filippone “Grandma”, of West Roxbury formerly of Brighton, born on September 5, 1917 in Frigento, Italy, died on June 11, 2010. Cherished mother of Maria Giordano, Lena Vozzella and her husband Theadore Vozzella and Cora Filippone. Loving grandmother of Anthony Giordano, Bruno Giordano and his wife Martha Echan, Sandra Giordano Ragusa and her husband Gaetano Ragusa. Beloved great grandmother of Gaetano Ragusa, Giovanna Ragusa and Leonardo Giordano. Funeral Tuesday, June 15 at 9AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Hwy. (near Cummins Hwy) ROSLINDALE. Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church, West Roxbury at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Monday from 4-8PM.
