Robert Wayne Tison, 58, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, June 13 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. Bailey Dickens will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Tison was born August 29, 1951 in Fitzgerald to the late Thomas M. and Dorothy Lee Tison. He lived in Fitzgerald most of his life. Mr. Tison was a former truck driver for Fitzgerald Oil & Fertilizer, Coachmen Industries and Adel Grocery Company. He was also a former security guard for Yarborough Security at Deep South.
Mr. Tison is survived by his wife: Cheri Izell Tison of Fitzgerald; daughter: Tonya Blanchett of Alapaha; sons: Jeffery Wayne Tison of Jacksonville, FL and Benjamin Tison of Fitzgerald; stepchildren: Amanda Fitzgerald of Alapaha and Jonathan Izell of Fitzgerald; 6 grandchildren and a brother: Thomas Tison of Mesa, AZ. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Randall Tison.
