Doris E. Legendre, 77, of Manchester, died June 9, 2010, surrounded by her family, at Catholic Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester, May 13, 1933 to Amedee and Leonie (Lussier) Hebert and was a lifelong resident. She attended St. Anthony School and Villa Augustina.
Mrs. Legendre worked in electronics at RCL, Hendrix, Sanders and prior to her illness at Auto-Syringe.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony Church and was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne of that parish.
She was married to Robert J. Legendre, who died in 2003.
She leaves her four children, Robert J. Legendre, II, Elaine Koza, Ann-Marie Legendre, and Michelle “Mickey” Legendre, all of Manchester; two grandchildren, Meagan Koza and her partner, Lucas Salisbury, of Rochester, Andrew Koza and his partner, Kristin Lovering, of Manchester; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Cameron Salisbury, who were the pride and joy of her life; an aunt, Irene Richer of Arizona; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She loved spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, June 14, 2010. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
