Ruth E. (Howe) Whiteside, 88, of Methuen, passed away on Monday, June 7th, 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital, following a short illness. Ruth was self employed as a hairdresser for many years at the Colonial Arms in Lawrence. She was a dedicated member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In her free time she enjoyed playing bingo and cards at the Lawrence Senior Center.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Frank Whiteside. She leaves her daughter, Charlotte Jane Alan and her husband Mike of Methuen, 2 sisters, Mildred Kenyon and her husband Al of Methuen and Ada Harris of Ohio, 4 grandchildren, Brian Sciacca, Laura Williams and her husband Scott, Deborah Guelfi and her husband Marco and Daniel Sciacca and his wife Eliza and 7 great grandchildren.
