Obituary

Methuen, MA – Bernard L. “Buddy” Keyes died Tuesday June 8, 2010 at Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover.

Born in Lawrence December 22, 1928 Mr. Keyes was the son of the late Lindsey and Mary (MacLellen) Keyes. Before Buddy’s retirement he was a Manager with AT&T of North Andover for many years.

During the Korean Conflict he served his country in the United States Army from 1951-1953 before being honorably discharged with the rank of Sargeant 1st class.

During Korea Buddy was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal.

Buddy enjoyed traveling with Gloria and visited his family in NewYork often.

He was a member of Methuen Post 122 American Legion and also the Arnold Greenwood Post 8349 in Methuen.

Mr. Keyes was the widower of Pauline C. (Corriveau) Keyes.

He is survived by his daughter; Patricia and her husband Philip Tullgren, of New York, Grand Daughters; Laura Hebsch, Jillian Tullgren, friend Gloria Rizzo, his sister Janet and her husband Atty. Clifford Elias, and his brother Frank and his friend Mary Mcgrath.

Buddy was predeceased by his sister Barbara Riddle.

Friends will be warmly received on Friday from 6PM - 8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.

A Graveside committal service will take place on Saturday.
