...Peacemakers Quilter; 78
TEWKSBURY - Lucy M. (Imbrescia) Koval, age 78, died Monday evening, June 7, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife for 47 years of John Koval, who died in 1998.
She was born in Revere, April 16, 1932, one of seven children of the late Philipo and Carmella (Cataldo) Imbrescia. She was raised in East Boston, and had lived in Revere before moving to Tewksbury in 1963.
She was a communicant of St. William's Church, and an active member of the Peacemakers Quilting Guild of Tewksbury.
She is survived by four children, Janice Rogers and her husband Brian of Tewksbury, John "Butch" Koval and his wife Deborah of Nashua, NH, Phillip Koval and his wife Heidi of Leominster, George Koval and his wife Ann of Tyngsboro; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three siblings, Theresa Harris of Revere, Nunzio and his wife Jeanne Imbrescia, and Caroline Kioussis all of Peabody.
She was also grandmother of the late George Koval and sister of the late Joseph Imbrescia, Marie Bauman, Concetta Nazarian.
Her Funeral Mass was held Friday, June 11, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Memorials to the Immaculate Conception School, 218 East Merrimack St., Lowell, MA 01852 will be appreciated.
