Obituary

Victor F. Notaro, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away at the home of his daughter in Bangor, Maine on May 22, 2010. He was 88 years old.

The son of Anthony and Anna (Cacicio), Victor was born and raised in Boston’s West End and was the husband of the late Constance (Fimiani). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII in both the U.S. and abroad. Upon completion of service he and his wife settled in the West End. He was employed in the shoe industry for many years, and was an avid Boston Sports fan.

Victor is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Victor A. and Marla of West Newfield, Maine and Naples, Florida, his daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and Michael Caruso of Bangor, Maine, his grandchildren, Leah (Notaro) Monteforte and John Notaro of Billerica, Lisa (Caruso) Martin of Bangor, Maine, and Michael Caruso of Port Chester, New York. He also leaves his beloved great-grandchildren, Vincent and Nicole Monteforte, Grace and Isabelle Martin and Brooke Caruso. Victor was the dear brother of Camille Castiglione of Malden and the late Nettie Notaro and also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden complete with Military Honors.
