WAYLAND: Dorothy M. (Hedderig) Yetsina, 94, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Framingham Union Hospital.
She was born in Natick on January 29, 1916 the daughter of the late Herbert Hedderig and Ella (Moran) Hedderig.
She was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Charles J. Yetsina who died on May 28, 2005. Dot is survived by her devoted daughter Bonnie O’Reilly and her husband Steve of Wayland. Cherished grandmother of Kim Galvani and her husband Tom of Framingham and Steven O’Reilly of Framingham. She was the Great-grandmother of Caterina, Isabella and Caroline Galvani all of Framingham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy has been a resident of Wayland for over 45 years and also resided in Framingham for over 15 years. She spent her formative years in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School. For many years she was associated with the Dennison Manufacturing Company of Framingham as an Accounts Receivable Representative. She also was a school crossing guard with the Wayland Police Dept. for several years. Dot was a mall walker at the Natick Collection for years and was an active member of the Callahan Senior Center in Framingham. She loved bowling at the Fairway Lanes in Natick and enjoyed aerobics and line dancing. She has been a longtime communicant of St. Bridget’s Church in Framingham. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her especially her family.
There will be no funeral home visitations. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 9:00 am at St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Rd (Rte 9), Framingham. Interment will follow in the Yetsina family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland. In lieu of flowers her family suggests gifts in her memory may be sent to the Arthritis Assoc, Chatham Center, Ste 450, 29 Crafts St, Newton, MA 02458
