Ulderic S. Masse, 75, of New Bedford died Sunday November 2, 2003 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Juliette (Duchaine) Masse.
Born in Assonet, the son of the late Ulderic Masse and Mae (DeMoranville) Gauthier, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Masse was formerly employed as a bus driver for the Union Street Railway Company until his retirement.
He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bernice Standish of Cape Cod; a son, Ronald Masse of Florida; 6 stepchildren, George Pease of Fairhaven, Milton Pease of Florida, Marieanna Levesque of Fall River, Robert "Rocky" Pease of Texas, Simone Carvalho of Freetown, and Richard Pease of Fairhaven; 2 stepbrothers, Clovis "Toby" Gauthier of New Bedford and Robert Gauthier of Dartmouth; a stepsister, Colette Brightman of Acushnet; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Mary Slowik.
His Funeral will be private. Visiting hours are omitted.
