Laconia-----George Nerison, Sr., 86, of 133 School Street, Lakeport, died at his home on Sunday, May 30, 2010.
Mr. Nerison was born December 19, 1923 in Philadelphia, Penn., the son of Peter and Grace (Craft) Nerison. He served in the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Nerison lived in Tilton, N.H. for several years before moving to Laconia twenty years ago. He had been employed in the Janitorial Department at the Lakes Region General Hospital for twenty years.
Mr. Nerison enjoyed boating, fishing, walking with his dog and berry picking with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Alice M. (Jones) Nerison, of Laconia; a son, George D. Nerison, Jr., of Winnisquam; three daughters, Dorothy McAllister Beland of Salem, Violet Downing of Laconia and Margurette Downing of Boscawen; thirty grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nerison was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Nerison.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held at George & Alice’s home, 133 School St., Lakeport, at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 5, 2010.
