Angelina M. Melchionno, 81 of Somerville died Sunday unexpectedly in the Massachusetts General Hospital Boston, MA.
Born in Boston, she grew up in Italy and lived in Somerville for the past 40 years and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Francesca (Casazza) Trodella. Angelina was a Folder at the Royal White Laundry in Somerville and retired last year.
Beloved wife of the late Pasquale. Devoted mother of Vincent “Paul” Melchionno and his wife Patricia, Francesca Clark, Donetta Burgess and her husband Stephen all of Somerville, Maria Melchionno of Everett, and Anna Melchionno of Phoenix, AZ. Loving Nonnie of Angela, Tabitha, and Pvt. Christopher Clark U.S. Army, Belinda and Jennifer Burgess. Sister of Giuseppe Trodella of East Boston, Eugenio Trodella of Italy and the late Yolanda, Alfredo, and Pietro Trodella.Sister-in-law of Carmella, Pasqualina and Josepha Trodella. Also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and her pet companion Reno.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
