Obituary

Methuen, MA – Henry Travaglini, 96, died Saturday at Heritage Nursing Care Center in Lowell surrounded by his loving family.
Henry was born in Framingham the son of Alessandro and Adelaide (Luzzi) Travaglini.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country before his honorable discharge.
For many years he had been employed as a Merchant Marine with the United States Army before his retirement in 1976.
Henrys family said he was an avid golfer, gardener, and traveling, but his real passion was his family.
A 35 year resident of Methuen Mr. Travaglini was survived by the love of his life Mary V. (McCloskey) Burdin, and three children; David Burdin, Sr. and Sheila M. Burdin both of Dracur, and Robert F. Burdin of Methuen, two sisters Theresa Travaglini, and Delina Sannicandro both of Framingham, 11 grandchildren, 9 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Henry was predeceased by brothers and sisters; Ida Mancinelli, Silvio, Teddy, John, and Mario Travaglini, Mary Bernit, Nettie Meld, and Eureka Bortolaski.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monicas Church of Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends will be warmly received on Thursday from 4:PM – 8:PM
at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
