Joan A. Tomalitis, 73, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Monday, May 31st, 2010 at the Wayside Hospice in Wayland, Massachusetts.
She was born on February 28th, 1937 in Lawrence to the late Anthony and Jennie (Kobrenski) Tomalitis. Joan was educated in the local schools of Lawrence, was a 1954 graduate of Lawrence High school and was a parishioner of the Grace Episcopal Church.
She worked for Western Electric Company for 8 years and then worked as a Police Matron, Crossing Guard and the Secretary to the Chief for the Lawrence Police Department for 30 years. Joan was a member of the St. Francis School PTO and Presentation of Mary Academy PTO. She was also a member of the Grand Cross of Colors I.O.R.G. She loved the Ocean and especially loved her Grandchildren.

Her 2 Grandchildren: Hannah and David Callaghan of Andover, MA
Her beloved friend: William C. Hale of Lawrence, MA.
As well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Her memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the West Parish Church in Andover, MA.
Following the service, family and friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the family home located at 4 Hemlock Road, in Andover, Massachusetts.
