Funeral services for Earl F. Zorn, 87, of Thomasville, GA will be held 10:30, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mr. Zorn passed away Sunday in Thomasville after an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
The son of the late Henry Grady and Mary Frances Bussey Zorn he was born in Turner Co. and was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Co. after forty years of service. He had resided in Thomasville for 30 years before moving to the Presbyterian Home in Quitman. He was a graduate of Rebecca High School and a member of The Woodman of The World, American Legion and on the Pioneers Committee with Southern Bell. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Zorn was a member of the Amboy Baptist Church in Turner Co. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Osgood, Elmer J. and Tigner S. Zorn and a sister Mary Frances Zorn.
Survivors include Three nephews, Four nieces and a large number of great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 8:30 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
