WORCESTER___Katherine R. "Auntie Kaye" (Waitele) Auseius, 96, of Worcester, died Friday, May 28, 2010 in her home. Her husband of 60 years, Francis F. Auseius died Oct. 23, 2006.
She leaves a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nettie and Charles Korsun of Worcester; three cousins, Pauline Plainte, Rita Maylott and Eugene Baguskas, many nephews and nieces, including her caregivers Lois Sbrogna and Deborah Hanlan and a dear friend, Shelley Goguen. She was predeceased by a brother, Domenic Waitele and a cousin, Aldona Murphy. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Domenic and Katherine (Baguskas) Waitele and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Auseius was a supervisor many years for the Handi Pad / Stafford Labs Co., and retired many years ago. After retiring she continued to work part time at Handi Pad for several years. Mrs. Auseius was a graduate of Commerce High School and Becker College. Katherine loved to crochet, especially making afghans and enjoyed giving them to family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street. A service will be at 7:45 P.M. during calling hours.
