Maria D. Novia, 73, of New Bedford died November 2, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of Lawrence "Larry" Novia and daughter of the late Francisco and Jovita (Oliveira) Bizzarro.
Mrs. Novia was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, New Bedford.
Mrs. Novia was formerly employed by Almeida's Auto Supply as a bookkeeper for 14 years until her retirement in 1992 and previous to that she was employed by Fairhaven Mills in the Shoe Department.
She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke's Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; 1 sister, Agnes Bizzarro of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Angelina Davidson, Jouvette Bizzarro, Edith Oliveira, Frank Bizzarro, Michael Bizzarro, Freda Souza and Estelle Vital.
