FALL RIVER … Irene R. (Blanchette) Freitas, 78, of Fall River died May 19, 2010. She died at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Alfred and Alice (Dubreuil) Blanchette and had lived in the Fall River and Tiverton area all of her life.
She was a presser for the former Ideal Laundry.
Survivors include a daughter Hilda Medeiros of Fall River, a sister Theresa Duperre of Somerset, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late George Freitas and Claudette West, the sister of the late Doris Duperre, grandmother of the late Steven Medeiros, and great grandmother of the late Matthew Melo.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday at 7:45PM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Memorial visitation Friday 4 – 7:45 PM.
