Ruth L. (Ashton) Foster, 99, of Warwick, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. She was the loving wife of the late Robert J. Foster for 52 years.
Born on Easter Sunday in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of the late James and Sabina (Beeley) Ashton and sister of the late Doris Crowell, Eva Burnside, Hazel McKenna, Norma VanOrden and Herbert Ashton.
She is survived by her four sons Robert J. Foster of Jefferson, GA, James H. Foster of Centerville, MA, John J. Foster of Riverside, CA and William S. Foster of Coventry. Ruth is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to granddaughter, Kimberly for the wonderful life she has provided to Ruth.
Funeral service Wednesday at noon in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm.
