Joan Arsenault-Murphy, 78 of Medford, died Wednesday after a long illness in the Medford, MA.
Born in Arlington, she lived in Medford for the past 3 years and formerly of Woburn and Cambridge. Joan was the daughter of the late Evangeline (Bunnell) and Francis Barbera. Joan loved children and was a foster mother for many years to numerous children.
Beloved wife of the late George Murphy and Frederick Arsenault. Devoted mother of Susan, Stephen, David, Karen, Laurie, Leslie, Ellen, Thomas, Derek and Joana. Also survived by 25 loving grandchildren and 13 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Pauline, Nancy, Arthur and Richard.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd, Woburn, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday 5 thru 9.
Interment will be private.
