Michael C. Rose, 47, of Foxboro formerly of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday May 25, 2010.
Born in Norwood, MA on August 29, 1962 he was a loving son of Patricia Ann (Kellett) Rose of Foxboro and Debary, Florida and the late Joseph “Pat” Rose and the late Margaret “Peg” (Danahy) Rose.
Mike grew up in Mansfield, was educated in Mansfield public schools and was a1981 graduate of Mansfield High School.
For the past five years he was employed as a polisher for the T.B.R. Marble and Granite Company in Foxboro. He had made his home in Foxboro for the past 6 years and was formerly of Mansfield for most of his life.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Mike’s favorite times, were those spent in the presence of his adoring family, especially his children. He was a great father and enjoyed spending time with his siblings at family gatherings.
His hobbies included camping and fishing and he will always be remembered for his generous nature and the ways in which he would always be there to lend those in need a helping hand.
In addition to his loving mother he is survived by his devoted children Jodilee Rose of Middleboro, Jamie L. Rose of Waltham and Joseph H. Rose of Middleboro. He was the dear brother James Rose of Mansfield, Kathleen Tripp of Key West, Florida, Brian Rose of Omaha, Nebraska, Maureen Fyfe of Pawtucket, RI, Mary Ann Blackmur of Hingham, Daniel Rose of Austin, Texas and Robert Rose of Richmond, Virginia. He is also survived by his former wife Meda Rose of Middleboro and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday May 29th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’ Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday May 28th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
