Janet Claire (Cull) Venti a resident of Dedham and Manomet, passed away surrounded by her family, Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in Needham.
Mrs. Venti, daughter of the late Allan and Anna Cull, resided in Milton and Manomet until her marriage to John A. Venti, formerly of Quincy, in 1953. Janet was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Emmanuel College class of 1952.
Beloved wife of Mr. Venti and loving mother of Kenneth Venti and wife Paula of Needham, Diane Hanlon and husband Edward of Hanson, Paula Britt and husband James of Hingham, Kevin Venti of Plymouth, Jonelle McGrath and husband Robert of Franklin and devoted grandmother of Brendan and Christopher Venti, Sean and Elizabeth Britt and Jillian and “Jack” McGrath. She is also survived by two sisters, Arlene McCullagh of Centerville and Ann Marie Cull of Quincy.
Janet was active in community associations including Treasurer of Fairbanks Garden Club, Secretary of Dedham Women’s Club and Secretary of Indian Bluffs Improvement Association of Manomet. Her pursuits in life were many and varied but those which provided the greatest enjoyment and pleasure were her family, her friends, and especially her six grandchildren.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Friday, May 28, at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
