Robert T. Nicoll II, 86, of Chester St., Chester, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown. He was born on June 26, 1915 in Andover, Mass. a son of the late George B. and Agnes (Caldwell) Nicoll. He was a resident of Chester for the past 59 years, formerly living in Andover, Mass. He graduated from high school in Andover, Mass. in 1933. He later graduated from Phillips Andover Academy in 1934 and Ohio Wesleyn in 1938. He was a US Navy veteran and was a member of the American Legion in Chester. He had been employed as a salesman for Hammett’s School Supply until retirement. He was a member of the Chester Congregational-Baptist Church where he led the choir for many years. Mr. Nicoll also served on the Chester School Board.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys T. Nicoll of Chester, one son, Robert T. “Robin” Nicoll III of Exeter, one daughter, Cynthia Tunberg of Chester, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 at the Chester Congregational-Baptist Church in Chester. Burial of the urn will be in the Great Hill Cemetery in Chester in the Spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chester Congregational-Baptist Church, PO Box 306, Chester, NH 03036.
