James G.(Jim) White, 71, Clarksville, TN, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at his residence . A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hilldale Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Robertson and Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. A visitation will be held Friday at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas beginning at 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. and burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Carroll County, AR on August 29, 1938, the son of Cecil Harvey White and Thelma Georgia Humbard White. He was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and was a retired Engineer at Trane Company. Mr. White was a graduate of Southwest Baptist University, Boliver, MO; University Arkansas-Fayetteville with a Bacholor of Science, and the University of Alabama-Huntsville with a Master of Business Administration. He was a consulting Engineer for GEA, LaCrosse, WI.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Walton White of Clarksville,TN; one son Chris White of Clarksville, TN; one brother Bill E. White(Kathy)of Bull Shoals, AR, one sister-in-law, Linda Johnston of Tampa, FL; one brother-in-law, Mark Walton of Clarksville, AR;several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Bruce, Doyle Bush, Gil Steinhorst, Paul Burkhart, Joe Unkel, Buddy Sholar, Roger Voohris, and Jim Church.
