Alice C. (Johnson) Irving, beloved wife of the late Bernard H. Irving, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010. She was 96 years old.
Born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on August 2, 1913, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Signe (Lundine) Johnson. Mrs. Irving was a resident of West Medford since 1938 and formerly of Woburn. She was a graduate of the Woburn Public School System. Alice was an exceptional cook her entire life. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always caring for her beloved family.
She will be sorely missed by her loving daughter and son-in-law; Janis C. and her husband, James J. Lyons of Wakefield and the late John R. "Jack" Irving; daughter-in-law, Catherine M. Irving of Acton; grandchildren, Jennifer B. and her husband Timothy J. Cusato, James J. Lyons, Jr., Jessica M., Amanda A., Kathryn J. and Meghan E. Irving, great-grandchildren; Nicolas, Samantha, Madelyn and Abigail Cusato and several nieces and nephews. She was also the beloved sister of the late Greta Carlson and Elon Johnson.
A Memorial Service was celebrated in the Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill Street, North Reading, Thursday, June 3, at 7 PM. Many relatives and friends respectively attended.
