Rachel Normandeau, 89, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, October 30, 2003 in the Integrated Health Services of Derry. Mrs. Normandeau was born in Nashua on January 17, 1914, a daughter of the late Prudent and Aurelie (Levesque) Cote. She was a lifelong resident of Derry. She retired from Klev-Bro Shoe Co. in Derry. Mrs. Normandeau was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry where she was a member of the Tabernacle Society.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Normandeau of Canton, MA, Roy Normandeau and his wife Eileen of Salem, NH, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, her sister, Lorraine Blanchard of Nashua, NH, her daughter-in-law, Betty Normandeau (wife of the late Ronald Normandeau) of Bow, NH, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip A. Normandeau who died in 1965, by her son, Ronald Normandeau in 1994, and also by her daughter-in-law, Jayne Normandeau in 1996.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 3rd at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 - 3pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
