Roger Salim Khoury, 48 years old, of Warwick, RI, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly by accident Wednesday May 19, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Joumana (Dagher) Khoury. He was born, raised and educated in Beirut, Lebanon, a son of Salim Khoury and the late Mariam (Ajajoun) Khoury. Roger immigrated to the United States in his early 20’s and settled in Massachusetts in the South Shore area. He had been employed as a certified automotive technician. He enjoyed sports, especially football, but what gave him the most enjoyment in life was spending time with his wife, children and family.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his children, Nicholas Khoury of Brockton and Sara, Charbel, Christy and Rachel Khoury all of West Warwick, his siblings, Farid Khoury of Sweden, Madeleine Malek of Chicago, Eli Khoury of Lebanon, Pierre Khoury of Braintree, Emile Khoury of Sweden, Marcelle Saab and her husband Ghazi of Sharon and Samir Khoury of Lebanon and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9am. The Service of the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, 343 N. Main Street, Brockton at 10am. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery,Braintree. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm with the Service of Incense at 7pm.
