Harlie J. Taylor, 82, husband of Gladys Lucille Taylor, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010. Born in Hart County, KY, he was the son of the late Harvey and Donnie Taylor and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Shively Church of Christ and had retired from Brown-Williamson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Calvin Taylor; and twin sisters, Mayme and Amy Logsdon. He is survived by wife, Lucille; children, Charles A. Taylor (Robin) and Donna Jean Bloyd (Greg); grandchildren, Stephen Taylor (Jennifer), Emily Selch (Brent), Megan Taylor (Matt Middleton), Eric Bloyd and Rebecca Bloyd; great-grandchildren, Colin and Lucas Selch and Micah Taylor; brother, Dave Taylor (Nelsey); and sister, Nora Gonterman (O. Gene). Funeral services will be noon Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 2-8 pm Sunday.
