Kathleen A. Kolatosz, 99, passed away on May 20th, 2010 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was born on October 25th, 1910 in Sturgeon, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Kay was raised and educated in Sturgeon and has been a resident of Medford for most of her adult life. For over 20 years, she worked at the Lewis Candy Company in Malden. She later served as a housekeeper at St. Francis of Assisi Church and Grace Episcopal Church in Medford. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church 60 Club and was a frequent visitor of the Medford Public Library. Kay is survived by her granddaughter Sherry Beck of Florida and by several nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by members of the Jamieson, Dunn and Kiely families of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Kay was predeceased by her husband John J. Kolatosz and by her son John J. “Jackie” Kolatosz Jr. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday May 25th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass on Tuesday only.
