Mrs. Ruth M. Kjoss, age 91, of Winchester formerly of Woburn and Quincy passed away peacefully, May 20th, following a short illness at the Winchester Nursing Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor K. Kjoss. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late George J. and Madeline M. (Caton) Long.
Mostly devoted to her loving family, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. For many years she worked as a volunteer at the Milton Hospital where she made many friends and served many people.
Mrs. Kjoss is survived by her children, Carolyn Angeles and her husband Dr. Jose D. Angeles of Winchester, Victor K. Kjoss and his wife Beverly of Colorado. She was the loving grandmother of Alicia Clarke and her husband Dennis, Bethany Stein and her husband Kurt, Jennifer Angeles and Victor Kjoss. She is also survived by six loving great grandchildren and was the cherished sister of George Long and his wife Virginia of Hingham, the late Richard and Francis Long.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Monday, May 24th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 5 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
