Marie T. (Kelleher ) Winchester formerly of Stoughton, Brockton, Halifax and Kingston and the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Stanley K. Winchester passed away in Plymouth at the home of her daughter on Tuesday May 18, 2010. She was 94 years old. She is survived by her daughter Brenda M. Alcombright and her husband Don of Plymouth, two grandchildren, Jodi Mulcahy and Donald J. “DJ” Alcombright, a sister Margaret M. Sheehan of Plymouth, two brothers, Donald R. Kelleher and his wife Rose of Canton and Richard “ Dick “ Kelleher and his wife Mary of Oceanside, California. Other survivors include her 14 nieces and 11 nephews. She was also a loving sister to the late Frederick J. Kelleher and Rita A. Klim and a sister – in – law to the late Anthony M. Klim and Edward W. Sheehan Sr.
Born on August 27, 1915 at home in Stoughton, Massachusetts she was a daughter to the late Daniel and Gertrude C. ( Willis ) Kelleher. She attended Stoughton Public Schools. Mrs. Winchester was employed as an Assembly Line Worker for the former Claff Box Company for over thirty years, retiring in 1980. Her interests and hobbies included gardening, knitting, ceramics, cooking, bowling and card games. Her two grandchildren had a very special place in her life and she was very thankful to have been able to have the opportunity to help care for them when they were growing up.
Her funeral will be held on Monday May 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:30 A.M. from the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Rt. 27 Stoughton. The Pastor Rev. Joseph P. McDermott, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at 1:45 P.M in The Massachusetts Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne,MA. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday May 23, 2010 from 4 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
