Obituary

Mr. Henry A. Arsenault, Sr., of Taunton, died Thursday, May 20 in Taunton Nursing Home surrounded by his family, following a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Antoinette (LaPlante) Arsenault. He was born 95 years ago in Taunton,
the son of the late Henry and Mathilda (Larivee) Arsenault. He was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed
as a mechanic for the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant for several years. He had previously been employed by the former Eastern Mass. Bus Company for a number of years.
Following retirement, Mr. Arsenault operated a small engine repair service from his home, fixing lawnmowers, snowblowers and various other yard and maintenance equipment. Mr. Arsenault was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the North Atlantic. He was a member of the Taunton Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a communicant of the former St. Paul’s Church in Taunton.

Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, May 24 at 9:00A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Andrew the Apostle Church (formerly St. Joseph’s Church), 19 Kilmer Avenue, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, From 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Holy Union Sisters, P.O.
