Evelyn (Barros) Vieira, 69, of New Bedford died Monday May 17, 2010 at Mass. General Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Manuel Vieira.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Frank Rogers and Adeline (Espinola) Barros, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Survivors include her husband; five children, Steven Pina and John D. Pina, both of New Bedford, Randall Pina of Dartmouth, Darnell Jones of Rehoboth, and Denise Pina of Pennsylvania; her siblings, Joseph "Jedge" Rogers of Florida, Henry "Jicky" Rogers of Scituate, Josephine Lomba of Swansea, Roger "Whiskey" Barros, Frank Barros, Mary Brown, Cynthia Rocha-DeBarros, and Cheryl DaCosta, all of New Bedford; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Clinton P. Pina, and sister of the late John "Boy" Rogers, Manuel "Lala" Rodriques, Olivia Roderick, and Anna Rocha.
