L. RAYMOND McINTOSH, 3rd,

Of Canton, died Monday evening, May 17, 2010 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital after a brief illness. He was 55.

Born in Riverhead, Long Island, New York, the son of Florence (LaPorte McIntosh) Roles of Canton and the late Lawrence R. McIntosh, Jr., he was raised and educated in Connecticut then Norwood. He has been a Canton resident for over 19 years.

Mr. McIntosh started as an automotive mechanic becoming a Automotive Damage Appraiser working with Perfection Auto Body in Watertown for 11 years. He had also worked for the Aetna Insurance Company, General Accident and Charles Wilson and Associates.

He loved cars and had built his own race car which he drag raced at the New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.

An avid traveler and cruiser, Mr. McIntosh had visited destinations throughout the world, he also enjoyed dancing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Teresa (Geoghegan) McIntosh, his sister, Chris MacMillan and her husband, Kenneth of Ashburnham, his mother in law, Mary Geoghegan of Canton, his brother in law, Thomas Geoghegan and his wife, Patricia of Stoughton, his nieces, Mary and Karen and his nephew, Kenneth, Jr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of his life at the Roache - Pushard Family Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman Street, Canton, on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint John the Evangelist Church at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home of Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Caritas Norwood Hospital, Development Office, 800 Washington Street, Norwood, MA 02062.
