Mary A. (Donahue) Allen, 94, of Lawrence died on Saturday May 15, 2010 at The Nevins Nursing Centre, Methuen. Mary was born and raised in Lawrence and has lived in Lawrence all of her life. She was a graduate of St Patrick's High School and was a member of St Patricks Parish, Lawrence. Before retirement, she worked at The Essex County Training School, Lawrence.
The widow of Herbert R. Allen, her family members include her son, Herbert D. and his wife, Donna Allen and she was pre-deceased by her daughter, Kathleen Deacy. Mary leaves her grandchildren, Christopher Allen, Carin Duteau, Patrick Allen, Michael Deacy and Elizabeth Baddeley and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Thursday May 20. 2010 from 9 to 10 am at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. The burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 350 Main St., Haverhill, Ma. 01870.
