Katie Lee Kerns, 18, beloved daughter of Janice Geigle and Hilary Kerns of Mattapoisett passed away on May 16, 2010 at the New England Medical Center after a courageous 10-year battle with mitochondria disease. She also leaves her paternal grandmother, Wanda Kerns of South Carolina, her uncle, Paul Geigle of Wareham as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Road, (Route 6), Mattapoisett Thursday, May 20th at 9 o'clock. A 10 o'clock Mass celebrating of her life will follow at St. Anthony’s Church, 22 Barstow St. in Mattapoisett. Burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visiting hours: Wednesday, May 19th, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Road, (Route 6), Mattapoisett.
