Vivian E. Woodward

Vivian E. Woodward, 89, of Parkville, Maryland died on Monday, May 10, 2010 with her son by her side at Morningside House of Satyr Hill where she had resided since February. Vivian was born in Erie, PA on February 16, 1921 to the late Carl Alvin Palmquist and Hilleve Dorothea (Englestad) Palmquist.

On February 19, 1941 she married her husband, Harry Leonard Woodward, who passed away in January 2006 after almost 65 years of marriage. For over 20 years they spent every winter in Haines City, FL where they maintained many close friendships. She and her husband were life-long members of The Salvation Army.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be sadly missed by daughters Sandra (Robert) Potts of New Philadelphia, OH and Vivian (Chickie) Roberts of Reno, NV, son Harry (Bud) Woodward, Jr. and granddaughter Michele Woodward of Glen Burnie, MD, grandson Justin Woodward of Kokomo, IN, great-granddaughters Jordan Taylor and Riley Taylor of Glen Burnie, MD, sister Gloria McNevin of Homosassa, FL, niece Carol Roback of Gansevoort, NY and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister and brother, Dorothy Evelyn and Robert Carl Palmquist and her stepfather Lars Arvid Fagerstrom.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19th from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Private graveside services will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that contributions in Vivian's memory be made to the charity of your choice.
