Gary L. Turner, 58, of Lowell, formerly of Tewksbury.

...Sexton at Elliot Church...

TEWKSBURY: Gary Lewis Turner, age 58, an active member and supporter of the Elliot Church in Lowell, died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at Saints Memorial Medical Center.

He was born in Tewksbury on April 30, 1945 the son of the late Lewis E. and Myrtle (Black) Turner. Mr. Turner was raised in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury schools. He resided in Tewksbury for many years until moving to Lowell.

Mr. Turner was employed as the sexton at the Elliot Church for the past 10 years and previously worked at Burger King and the former King’s Department Store Warehouse in Billerica.

He was a former member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Post # 2070.

Mr. Turner is survived by 3 nieces; Lynn S. Gibson, Lori Wood and Wendy Gigurre; 3 nephews; Mark W. Turner, Raymond and Roland Gigurre; his sister-in-law; Margaret (Prenney) Turner of Windham, NH. Mr. Turner was the brother of the late Carol L. Gigurre and William W. Turner.

A Memorial service will be held at the Elliot Church of Lowell at a date to be announced. Burial was at Tewksbury Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Elliot Church, 273 Summer St., Lowell, MA 01852.
