Lincolnton, GA – Entered into rest Friday, May 7, 2010 at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Mrs. Irene E. Olson, 67, wife of 48 years to John A. Olson.
Mrs. Olson was a native of Keysville, GA, and spent most of her life in the Augusta and Lincolnton areas. She was a military wife and a loving mother, and was very supportive of her husband. She was a Christian woman who treated everyone as a friend - that’s how she lived her life.
Family members include: sons: John Olson (Jennifer), Donald Olson, Ronald Olson (Christie), and the late Gerald Olson, stepdaughter: Jacquie McCarrack (Robert), sister: Maxinne Hunt, brothers: Freddie Penrow (Norma), John Penrow (J.J.), and the late Oscar Penrow, Ten grandchildren, and Four great-grandchild, and many loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Mar 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Freddie Penrow officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
