Marvin Clyde Watson, 83, of Tifton died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Steve Hand will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Jason Watson, Jeffery Watson, Brian Cooper, Randall Monk, Ray Monk and Josh Cooper will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Watson was born on August 16, 1926 in Turner County and was the son of Jim Watson and Annie Sheperd Watson, both deceased. He was retired from farming and Tifton Aluminum Company and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Lola Jane Grimes Watson of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Donna Watson of Tyrone and Tony and Sue Watson of Tifton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Elizabeth and Wyman Temples of Tifton and Dianne Watson of Sylvester; one brother, Rody Watson of Ashburn; two sisters, Mozelle “Sally” Williford of Tifton and Mary Bea Powell of Sylvester; 19 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
