Gina A. (Susi) D´Amico died Saturday in the Massachusetts General Hospital, after a long illness. She was 56.
Born in Sulmona, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Donato and the late Clementina (Ricci) Susi. She came to the United States when she was 9 and settled in the North End of Boston. She lived there many years until moving to Medford 34 years ago.Gina worked as a claims officer with Delta Dental for many years, until her illness kept her from work.
She was the beloved wife of Angelo D´Amico. She was a devoted mother to Aurelio D'Amico and his wife Michelle of Lynn, and Daniel D'Amico and his wife Bridgette of Medford. Gina leaves her loving grandchildren: Kaylee, Alayna, Maya and Sophia. She was the dear sister of Rosa DiCenzo of Revere and Lina Masciarelli of Medford. And is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 9 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. James Church, 779 Fellsway, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited and may visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Tuesday 4 – 8.
Services will conclude with Entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
