Placido "Fred" Rinaldo, 85, a resident of Plaistow, NH, died on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Sunbridge Colonial Heights Care & Rebilitation Center in Lawrence, MA.
He was born in Lawrence, MA. to Frank A. and Anna (Quartarone) Rinaldo on December 15,1924. He was educated in Lawrence local schools, a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1941. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII as a Bombardier, Served with the 453rd Bombardment Squadron, 323rd Bombardment Group 64th Wing 9th Air Force his rank was Captain, following the war he served in the Air Force Reserve upon retirement in 1980 he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Melkite Church in Lawrence, MA. and be belonged to the Knights Of Columbus, Methuen Council 4027. He coached for the Methuen Little League.
He the loving husband of Selma (Saliby) Rinaldo and he leaves two sons as well: David and his wife Rose Rinaldo of Ocala, Florida and Marc Rinaldo and Sherrie Thibodeau of Methuen, MA. Three grand children: Dina and Jeff Hurley of Salem, NH, Krista Rinaldo of Methuen, MA. Steven Rinaldo of Methuen and Eileen Thibodeau of Methuen, MA. His great grand children: Maggie, Ella Joy, and Lucy Hurley and Joshua Murray-Rinaldo. As well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Melkite Church in Lawrence, MA.
