Obituary

Methuen, MA- Ernestine T. "Ernie" (Arrajj) Kendall, 62, died Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Nevins Centre in Methuen. She was the daughter of Edmund and Addie (Thompson) Arrajj Sr.


Born and educated in Lawrence, Ernie was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1964.

Ernie worked for many years as a technician at the Raytheon Company in West Andover prior to becoming incapacitated in 1982 following extensive neurosurgery. Despite her limitations, Ernie, loved to play bingo, cards, bowling, paint ceramics and to sing. Ernie's greatest joy was visiting with her family and friends.

Ernie was a beautiful ray of sunshine; she touched the lives of all who met and knew her and she always had a song in her heart. She was so loved and will be greatly missed.

The widow of the late John J. Kendall, Ernestine is survived by her daughter, Kimberley A. Wilkie and her husband Andrew of Avondale, PA; three grandchildren, Ryan, Steven, and Elisabeth Wilkie of Avondale, PA; her mother, Addie Pano and her husband Steve of FL, two brothers, Joseph Arrajj of Ohio, and Edmund Arrajj Jr. and his wife Donna of Dracut; a half-sister, Victoria Dillon and her husband Shawn of Worcester; special niece, Cheryl (Kendall) Goujon of Methuen and many nieces and nephews, close family and wonderful friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects this Friday, May 7, 2010 from 10-11:30 am at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen with a service and burial to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cememtery in Lawrence. Donations may be made to Hospice Services of Merrimack Valley or the Nevins Centre in Methuen.
