New Bedford - Alberta C. (Knowlton) Allen, 88, of S. Dartmouth died at HathawayManor Extended Care Facility on October 25, 2003. She was the widow of FreemanE. Lawrence and Fredrick L. Allen.
She was born in Little Compton, RI daughter of the late Otis S. and Isabel(Bennett) Knowlton and resided in S. Dartmouth most of her life. She was employed asan inspector by the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, New Bedford.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the Dartmouth Grange and Cortez Allen ChapterO.E.S. # 161, Westport.
Survivors include 2 sons: Freeman E. Lawrence of S. Dartmouth and LincolnA. Lawrence of Little Compton, RI; and 2 grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
