EBACHER, Albert P. of Reading, April 20, 2010 at age 87. Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary (Petrone) Ebacher. Cherished father of Denise Ebacher King and Dennis Ebacher. He was born in Amesbury MA in 1922. During World War II he served in the Army attached to SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force), earning a Bronze Star. Following the war he was attached to USFET (United States Forces European Theater) in Frankfurt Germany where he met his wife, Mary. The family lived and traveled all over the world. He served temporary duty in both Europe and the Middle East, and after he retired he and Mary continued to travel. He was active in the Reading Knights of Columbus Council 1031 and as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts for 40 years on both the local (Troop 728) and district levels. He was also a charter member of the Society of Logistics Engineers. He collected and compiled extensive genealogical data for the Ebacher, Bourque and Petrone families. He was a strong and kind man who will be dearly missed by his family.
