BEATRICE MCPHERSONBeatrice (Austin) McPherson, 94, of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, formerly of Newton died Sat. Oct. 18, 2003.Born in Skye Glen , Cape Breton, Beatrice taught school in Cape Breton for a number of years before moving to Boston. During and after WW II she was employed with Ark-Les Switch for 35 years. She was an active member of the Newton Presbyterian Church where she played an active role in all church activities, especially Sunday School. Beatrice was proud of her Cape Breton roots and took great pride in having relatives and friends visit with her. She will be dearly remembered as a loving sister, aunt, and a gracious host.Wife of the late Claude R. McPherson, she is survived by her brothers J. Norman Austin of Truro NS, Hugh F. Austin of Skye Glen NS, and Thomas A. Austin of Sudbury Ontario. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by 6 sisters and 6 brothers. A funeral service was held on Thurs Oct 23 in Truro Nova Scotia. A graveside service will be held on Monday Oct 27, 2003 at 2 PM at Newton Cemetery 791 Walnut St. Newton Centre.Arrangements by Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home Newton Corner.
