Maria M. "Afifi" (Malouf) Jabaily of Quincy, passed away on April 23, 2010. She was 86 years old.
Born in Alfredo Guedes, Brazil, Maria came to the United States when she was 15 years old and worked as a seamstress in Boston's garment district. After marrying her husband Joseph, Maria stopped working to devote her time to her family.
Maria loved spending time with her family and adored her 8 grandchildren. Her spare time was spent outdoors. She loved gardening and spent her summers at the beach in North Falmouth.
Maria was the dear and devoted wife of Joseph G. Jabaily. Loving mother of Robert Jabaily and his wife Marlynn of Braintree, Sandra Jabaily Scott and her husband Todd of Westwood, Peter Jabaily and his wife Susan of Foxboro and the late Joseph A. Jabaily, MD, PhD. Loving mother-in-law of Leslie Jabaily of CO. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Nicole, Matthew, Buck, Jennifer, Susannah, Gregory and Alexander. Dear sister of Rasheedy Ammar of OH and Adelia Samaha of FL. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Maria's Funeral Service was held Wednesday, April 28 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church 55 Emmonsdale Rd. WEST ROXBURY.
