George D. Nicula, 75, Clarksville, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Deacon Dominick Azzara officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer vigil to follow Friday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 2, 1934 in Warren, Ohio, son of the late George Nicula, Sr. and Alexandrina "Rose" Adams Nicula. He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Andrew Nicula and a brother Thomas G. Nicula. He graduated from Notre Dame where he played football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was a salesman for the Cougar Packaging Company. George was an active parishoner at Immaculate Conception Church for thirty seven years. Survivors include son Vincent Gammieri (Shelly); three daughters, Gina Gammieri Leavell (Billy), Christina Nicula Cunningham (Steven); and Teresa Nicula; and five grandchildren.
