Gene P. Farmer, 68, Riverdale, GA. formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Southern Regional Medical Center, Riverdale, GA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday May 1, 2010 at Rock Springs Baptist Church 5900 Reynolds Rd. Morrow, GA. 30260(770)961-5900. The remains are to be cremated. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 2 ,1942, in Clarksville. He retired from Ford Motor in Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Arden E. and Agnes L. Farmer and his grandson Cedric Allen.Survivors include his wife Donis M. Farner, Stocbridge, GA; son Gene P. Farmer, JR(Heather) of Temple, GA; two daughters, Deborah K. Holloway(Chuck) of Conley, GA and Rebecca L. Boateng(Godfred) of Douglasville, GA; two brothers Dwight Farmer(Dorma)Hixson, TN and Ray Farmer, of Tipponville, TN; three sisters Bettie Cook(Steve), Alice Farmer of Clarksville Judy Johns of Woodlawn, eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
